John and Mark Hunnell founded Levity Breakfast House in Norman in 2024. The brothers are Cleveland, Ohio natives but came to OKC via Portland, where John worked for Apple and Mark learned all about coffee at Stumptown Coffee, one of the third wave pioneers in the bean business. Their spot on Peters just off Main is in a converted house, and the homey vibes contribute to a feeling of sitting down to breakfast at your friend's house, but only if your friend cooks as well as executive chef Luke Fry. Chef Luke has worked at some of the metro's best restaurants, including the OG Ludivine, Red Prime, and Scratch. As we learn in the episode, he is also a candidate for OKC's sexiest chef.

Levity features breakfast and lunch; Chef Luke is in the process of expanding lunch options, so the bulk of the food is still breakfast -- featuring incredible latke-style hash browns, fluffy waffles, breakfast sandwiches (Get the 411!), and sweet and savory scones made drop biscuit style with the help of Chef Tylyn Fry. The coffee service is excellent, and they combination of Clark's Coffee, fresh ingredients, house made syrups, and local suppliers means quality in every latte, matcha, and pour they produce. Every Monday, Levity drops off free scones at local organizations and charities to get the word out and to give back to the community. That community focus comes from their upbringing, and we dive into that in the first half of the episode.
